This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An Oncologist is a physician trained in Internal Medicine who has completed further training in the treatment of malignancies. All Florida Cancer Specialists physicians have completed an accredited program in Medical Oncology, and all are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology. Most are also Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology. A Hematologist is, likewise, a physician trained in Internal Medicine and in the treatment of blood diseases, including platelet disorders and red blood cell, white blood cell, and blood clotting problems. All Florida Cancer Specialists physicians are trained in Hematology.

Your treatment plan depends on many factors such as the type of cancer you have, its location and stage, your general health, age, and more. Your physician will review your history thoroughly in order to recommend a course of treatment.
