Mamta T. Choksi, MD

Dr. Choksi is an oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Pasco County. When she meets with a new patient and their family members, Dr. Mamta Choksi takes the important first step to begin building a relationship of trust to help relieve the fear and anxiety that accompany a cancer diagnosis. She says that the many cutting-edge technologies and targeted treatments that have been developed in the past ten years have led to a new era of personalized medicine that is increasing survival rates and quality of life.  Dr. Choksi finds it gratifying to be able to provide her patients with so many new and promising treatment options.

Board-certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Choksi joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2012. She received her medical degree from N.H.L. Municipal Medical College in India. After emigrating to the U.S. in 1997, she completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York, where she served as chief medical resident.  She completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at New York University Langone Hospital – Long Island.

She participates actively in clinical trial research, and her work has been published and presented in numerous professional settings. Dr. Choksi also serves as Chair of Medicine at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida.
