The donation of a blanket warmer machine will provide added comfort to patients who receive care at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute’s (FCS) Lecanto location.
FCS is providing COVID-19 vaccines to its front-line health care workers and patients determined to be at high risk and extremely vulnerable to COVID-19.
FCS Venice Health Park location will be much more comfortable. FCS physicians and staff gathered recently to accept the machine gifted by Bobbi Norris, the wife of late philanthropist Dave Norris, and their Make A Difference Today Foundation.
Patient images and information can now be shared swiftly, securely and at less cost through an on-line link, replacing the current manual and time-consuming method of transferring and shipping images via CDs.
FCS opens a new cancer center in Seminole County. The new clinic will include nine exam rooms, 36 infusion chairs, laboratory services and oral oncolytic pharmacy.
The one-story building located at 2824 Enterprise Road, Orange City, FL will replace the current FCS location at 765 Image Way. Scheduled for completion by year-end, the 16,000 square foot clinic will include 12 exam rooms and 35 infusion chairs, as well as care management services for patients participating in value-based care initiatives.
