Elke Friedman, MD
Dr. Friedman is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute.
She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Friedman completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Virginia/VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia, followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Medical College of Virginia/VCU Health. She is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Friedman’s particular clinical interests include breast, lung and hematologic malignancies. She has served as principal investigator on several lung cancer clinical trials and has participated in multiple studies involving a variety of tumor types. Dr. Friedman regularly collaborates in multidisciplinary clinics and conferences where complex cases are reviewed and treatment recommendations are developed to provide comprehensive, personalized patient care.
Dr. Friedman is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in cancer care and research.
