Xin Yao, MD

Dr. Yao is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Collier County.

After receiving his medical degree from Hebei Medical University in Shijazhuang, China, Dr. Yao completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is Board-certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Prior to joining FCS in 2026, Dr. Yao was a medical oncologist with the Cleveland Clinic in Stuart, Florida. He has more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Yao is a member of American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Yao is a general oncologist with a special interest in gastrointestinal oncology. He serves as community chair for GI oncology with the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group, a network of nearly 1,400 academic and community-based cancer centers and hospitals in the United States and around the world.
