COVID-19: Speaking from Science, presented by Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) in partnership with the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Leesburg and Red Apples Media was held on Saturday, Aug. 28.
In a recent evaluation, empirical data indicates FCS decreased emergency room visits not resulting in an admission or observation stay by 18% and decreased inpatient hospital admissions by 15% from 2017 – 2020.
FCS in partnership with the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce, City of Leesburg and Red Apples Media, is sponsoring a panel discussion with area physicians to provide the latest information about COVID-19.
A survey conducted found that patients overwhelmingly prefer that the FCS physicians, nurses and staff members are vaccinated and wear masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
In response to growing concerns amidst the statewide surge of COVID-19 variants, FCS will require all physicians and team members to be fully vaccinated by October 1, 2021.
