Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Leaders Applaud Launch of NCODA Clinical Advances Summit to Address the Future of Cancer Care
Longstanding NCODA Leadership Reflects Commitment to Innovation, Education and Patient-Centered Care
Fort Myers, Fla., October 30, 2026— As the NCODA 2026 International Fall Summit draws to a close, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) physicians and executive leaders praised NCODA‘s announcement of the inaugural Clinical Advances Summit (NCAS), scheduled for October 2027. The expanded conference will bring together a broader group of multidisciplinary and international oncology experts to explore the clinical innovations, research and emerging trends transforming cancer care.
FCS President & Managing Physician Lucio N. Gordan, MD, a member of NCODA’s board of directors and executive council, has been named as co-chair of NCAS and will help shape the meeting’s scientific direction. “As cancer care continues to evolve, collaboration among healthcare professionals is more important than ever,” Dr. Gordan said. “Scientific progress reaches its full potential only when clinicians are prepared for what’s ahead and equipped to translate emerging evidence into patient care.”
The announcement was particularly meaningful for FCS, which has maintained a strong leadership presence within NCODA for many years and was well represented at this year’s International Fall Summit, where the following were introduced among NCODA’s inaugural Class of 2026 Fellows in recognition of their longstanding leadership, service and contributions that have helped shape the organization:
- Lucio N. Gordan, MD
- Paul Chadwick, FCS chief procurement officer and NCODA Executive Council member
- Austin Cox, PharmD, FCS vice president of pharmacy services and NCODA Executive Council member
- Chris Elder, PharmD, BCOP, 2026 International Fall Summit Planning Committee and 2024 recipient of NCODA’s Living the Mission Award
- Ray Bailey, BPharm, RPH, retired FCS vice president of pharmacy services
FCS CEO Ryan Ciarrocchi said, “This recognition reflects the collective efforts and impact of these dedicated professionals working to advance the future of cancer care. FCS is proud to be part of NCODA’s mission and thoughtful plan forward to foster professional growth and help oncology teams translate innovation into meaningful improvements in care and outcomes.”
Dr. Gordan welcomed participants to this year’s flagship annual conference on behalf of FCS as the Host Practice. FCS panelists included:
- Paul Chadwick: “Implementing 505(b)(2) Products at Scale in Community Oncology Network”
- Constance Rim, PharmD, BCOP: “PQI in Action: Elevating Practice Through Team-Based Care”
“This next chapter will be especially exciting,” said Dr. Gordan. “Building on a strong foundation, we will expand collaboration and elevate emerging research to advance better outcomes for patients everywhere.”
