Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Strengthens Access to Community Oncology Care in Florida by Welcoming Woodlands Specialty Physicians
Fourteen multispecialty physicians join statewide practice in Florida Panhandle
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS), Florida’s premier community oncology practice, today announced the addition of the multispecialty services of Woodlands Medical Specialists (WMS), a highly respected private physician group in Pensacola, FL. This alignment adds 14 physicians specializing in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and urology services, along with 12 advanced practice providers and additional clinical and operational support staff, into FCS’ growing statewide network. Primary care physicians specializing in family medicine and internal medicine will remain with Woodlands Medical Specialists and are not included in the transition.
“This integration represents a thoughtful step forward in our strategic plan to elevate the patient experience across our statewide network,” said FCS President & Managing Physician Lucio N. Gordan, MD. “By welcoming a group of highly respected specialists into our practice, we are strengthening access to coordinated, community-based oncology care and ensuring patients continue to receive exceptional care close to home, supported by the depth, resources, and stability of a physician-led organization.”
Effective May 1, 2026, the following physicians are joining FCS:
- Medical oncology and hematology: Alejandro A. Inclan, MD; Jamal Joudeh, MD; Rami S. Owera, MD; Shailesh J. Patel, MD; Michael Poiesz, MD; and John Schaub, DO
- Radiation oncology: Coyt A. Rountree, MD
- Urology: Jack Farhi, MD; Frank J. Greskovich, MD; Ashley B. King, MD; Alexander Liu, MD; Brett L Parra, MD; Davinder S. Sekhon, MD; and Jeffery P. Wolters, MD
The physicians joining FCS will operate as Woodlands Specialty Physicians, a division of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. Physicians and care teams will continue practicing in their current locations, ensuring continuity of care. Patients will see the same providers, in the same offices, with no disruption to their care experience.
“Joining FCS allows us to continue caring for patients as we always have, while gaining access to enhanced and expanded services, innovative research and support of a statewide community oncology practice,” said former Woodlands Practice President and Woodlands Specialty Physicians leader Rami Owera, MD. “This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality care without changing where or how patients receive treatment.”
