New name, same commitment.
As of May 1, 2026, oncology, radiation oncology, urology, radiology & breast health, and laboratory services from Woodlands Medical Specialists are now Woodlands Specialty Physicians, a division of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS).
Patients can expect their care to continue to be guided by the physicians and staff they know, who have a comprehensive understanding of their needs and have earned their trust. The difference is that they are now supported by the scale, expertise, and infrastructure of a statewide oncology practice, FCS, allowing them to focus more on patient care. There will be no changes to current care or treatment plans.
By joining together with a larger, physician-led community oncology practice, our team now has expanded access to resources to enhance the care experience. These include advanced technologies, expanded ancillary services, and increased access to innovative treatments, including early- and late-phase clinical trials.
Patients will begin seeing the new name, Woodlands Specialty Physicians, a division of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, on items such as billing statements and other communications from our offices.
